ISO 9001:2000, is the current evolution of the internationally-accepted quality management certification system ISO 9001 its purpose is to define, identify and confirm quality benchmarks within organizations. First published in 1987 it specifies, in broad terms, the necessary components of a quality management system and, in detail, the basic requirements of the quality function for all industries
